The Practical Ways of Living Christ Life PDF.

Who is your role model?

1 Corinthians 11:1 NKJV

[1]Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.

Who is a disciple? Simply put a follower. Mark 3:14-15 NKJV

[14]Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, [15]and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:

As disciples our lives must be transformed to conform to the image of the one we are following that’s Jesus Christ. This is what is stated in Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. [2]And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. NKJV.

Things we need to empty ourselves of.

Colossians 3:1-11 NKJV

[1]If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. [2]Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. [3]For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. [4]When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. [5]Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. [6]Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, [7]in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. [8]But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. [9]Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, [10]and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, [11]where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

  • Anger, a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility.
  • Wrath, Extreme anger.
  • Malice, bad will or the desire to do bad things to another person. An example of malice is when you hate someone and want to seek revenge.
  • Blasphemy is the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for (a) God(s), to religious or holy persons or things, or toward something considered sacred or inviolable.
  • Filthy language that can cause offence.

Things we need to fill our lives with.

Colossians 3:12-17 NKJV

[12]Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; [13]bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. [14]But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. [15]And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. [16]Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. [17]And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

  • Tender mercies. compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender, an enemy, or other person in one’s power; compassion, pity, or benevolence:
  • Kindness, the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.
  • Humility, the quality of having a modest or low view of one’s importance.
  • Meekness, having or showing a quiet, gentle, and humble nature
  • Longsuffering, having or showing patience in spite of troubles, especially those caused by other people.

These godly virtues were demonstrated by David in 1 Samuel 30: 13-15. Where he shown compassion on young Egyptian that was part of the gang that raided Ziklag. But it turned out to be crucial to their recovery. You never know what can result from a genuine act of love shown to others.

I don’t know the promises God has made to you, apart from prayer, faith and other spiritual qualities, you need godly character to birth them in the natural.

In conclusion.

We all have to work on characters. Identify your weakness as highlighted in the word of God.

  • Find relevant scriptures about such weakness. Don’t interprete the scriptures to justify your weakness or listen to failed ministers. Consider the life of Jesus.
  • Pray about it. With godly sorrow. Genuine repentance.
  • Give yourself to quality service in God’s Kingdom. While spiritual gifts are imparted to us by faith in God. Spiritual fruit are cultivated.
